Theodore R. ’Ted’ Tollefson

Ted was born February 17, 1947, in Langdon, ND, to Ronald and Elizabeth Rourke Tollefson. He grew up and attended school through the 8th grade in St. Hilaire, MN. Ted then attended and graduated from the Agricultural School in Crookston, MN. After school, Ted moved to St. Paul, MN, where he started his career with Catco. He married Katherine Theroux in Red Lake Falls, MN, on August 12, 1967. Together they lived in St. Paul until moving to Glyndon in 1977. Ted continued with Catco in Fargo, ND, and retired in 2004. Ted had a passion for cars and racing. For years he circle track and drag raced. He took pride in the cars he restored and enjoyed the time spent at the Glyndon Garage with his buddies. He also liked hunting, camping and being outdoors. His family was very important to him and especially loved the time spent with grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.Ted is survived by his wife, Kathy; son, Todd Tracy Tollefson of Glyndon; daughters, Stacie Troy Schmitz of Red Lake Falls, MN, Cindy Keith Byklum of Hawley, MN; grandchildren, Brittnei, Bo, Cody, Devon, Morgan, Brooke, Bailey, Hunter, Kegan, Riley and Jordyn. He is also survived by siblings, Linda Schultz, Mick Pat Tollefson, Terry Renae Tollefson, Debbie Heroff, Darla LaMoine, Lance Tammy Tollefson, Lonie Keith Thode; and 17 nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents.
