Theodore “Ted” Grosz

Theodore A. Grosz

February 16, 1934 – November 12, 2017

Theodore Albert Grosz (Ted) was born in Fargo, North Dakota on February 16, 1934 to Richard T. and Hazel (Hammer) Grosz.  He attended the Moorhead Public Schools graduating from MHS in 1951. Ted continued his education at NDSU graduating in 1956 with a degree in business.  Following college, he served in the United States Air Force. In 1954, Ted married Marcia L. Miller.  Their union brought three children; Jean, Kay, and Robert. Ted worked in the insurance business, namely Western States Life Insurance Company, in Fargo, ND until his retirement.  In 1972 he married Connie L. Rudolf. They made their home in both Moorhead, MN and later in Fargo, ND.

Ted is survived by wife Connie; and his children Jean (Tim) Johnson, Kay (Doug) Wigtil, Robert (Deb) Grosz; grandchildren Abby (Zac) Schnedler, Isaac (Kaitlyn) Johnson, Jaclyn (Jeff) Brown, Nickolas (Lauren) Wigtil, Anthony (girlfriend Nicki Sneed) Grosz, Alexander Grosz, Rachelle (Cory) Deutz; four great-grandchildren, Griffin, Grayson, Nora and Alice; brothers, William (Mary Anne), Paul; sister, Annetta Knowles; and brother-in-law, Gene (Deb) Rudolf. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Delores Knowles; brother, David Grosz; infant brother, James; and brother-in law, John Knowles.

Both funeral and visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead, MN. Visitation is at 11:00 AM. Funeral service is at noon. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Fargo, ND.
