Thomas James Clary

Thomas J. Clary, 70, of Fargo, ND, passed away unexpectedly on September 21, 2020.

Tom was born June 29, 1950 in Moorhead, MN, to Clarence and Grace (LaDoucer) Clary.  He graduated from Moorhead High School in 1968 and went on to attend Moorhead Technical College in the auto mechanic program. Tom married Sharon Jorgensen on August 23, 1975 at Peace Lutheran Church in Fargo.  They had two sons, Jason and Jeff.  Tom worked as a plumber and pipe fitter for many years, traveling throughout MN and ND.  He then worked as a sign fabricator for Hegland Sign Co., Cook Sign Co., and Indigo Sign Co., which he retired from in March 2020.  One of his proudest accomplishments was fabricating the letters at the Fargodome.

Tom enjoyed spending time working on cars and tinkering in his garage.  He was the guy you could always call when you didn’t know how to fix something, and he would fix it for you.  He loved his dog, Zoey, and enjoyed spending time outdoors with her.

He is survived by his sons, Jason (Amanda) Clary and Jeff Clary. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his loving wife, Sharon, on June 29, 2018.

A memorial service will be Friday, September 25, 2020, at 11:00 A.M., with visitation for one hour before the service, at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead. Masks are required and social distancing must be observed.
