Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson, 90, Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo, ND, formerly Moorhead, MN, died on Monday, September 10, 2007, in the nursing home.Thomas Jefferson was born on July 24, 1917, in Valley City, ND, to Henry and Mae Niles Jefferson. He grew up in Moorhead, MN, graduating from Moorhead High School. He attended Interstate Business College for two years. Thomas worked on the mail train prior to his military service and then continued with the railroad mail until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, in the Pacific Theatre. Thomas was a big Concordia, Moorhead High, MSU, and Bison sports fan, and played football, baseball, fished and hunted. He enjoyed following the Vikings and Twins, and was a good uncle to his nephews. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Masonic Lodge and First Presbyterian Church in Moorhead.Thomas is survived by his brother, Roy Leola Jefferson, Fargo, ND; sister, Dorothy Storandt, Moorhead, MN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Niles; and two nephews, Scott Storandt and Cole Jefferson.
