Thomas C. Pavola

Thomas C. Pavola, 80, of Glyndon, MN, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Thomas (Tom) Pavola was born September 10, 1943, to Carl and Mary Alvina (Nelson) Pavola in Carrington ND. He grew up in the Toad Lake area with his two sisters and graduated from Frazee High School in 1961. He served in the Army Reserves For 6 years. In 1970 he was united in marriage to Linda Jenson. They lived in Detroit Lakes, MN, for a short time and then moved to Glyndon, MN. Together they raised 5 children. Tom drove gravel trucks, turkey trucks, and grain trucks. Then he drove for Fairway Foods for 26 years. He enjoyed deer hunting with his uncles and his dad in Many Pointe, and friends and neighbors at the farm. Which may or may not have included a few tall tales. His generous and kind nature was appreciated by grandkids and pets alike. A true dogs best friend. He was a kind man who always found a way to make you laugh.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda; children, Kari (Alan) Brennan, Kevin (Lisa) Pavola, Steve (Miranda Hanson) Pavola, Leslie (Ron) Berry, Sara (Josh Meek) Pavola; grandchildren, Dylan, Dalton(Shannon), Kailey, Lexi, Ariah, Kaden, Shealyn, Zayne, Michael, Alex and Skylar; great-grandchildren, Kandyn, Jackson, Jordan, Lebron, Hawken, Arwenn and Daxton; as well as his sister, Kathy Kangas and all of his nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, grandchildren: Grayson Pavola, Mauriana Pavola, Angel Garcia Martinez; sister, Marlene Schnitzer; brothers-in-law: Alfred Schnitzer, Ivan Kangas, Wayne Jenson, Kenny Jenson and David Jenson; and his aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 16, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
