Thomas R. Legler

Thomas Richard Legler was born October 3, 1944, to Lawrence and Joyce Legler, in Hawley, where he grew up and later graduated from high school. He married his wife, Shirley, on August 21, 1987. Together they lived in Hawley and later bought the Riverside Inn where he enjoyed spending time with the Patrons that he loved dearly. After selling Riverside, he drove truck for R H Zwerin Freightliners Inc. and later Wylie Trucking until retirement in 2003. Tom enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, deer hunting, and going to his grandkids activities. He especially loved watching them play basketball. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Tom is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Randy Lori Legler of Des Moines, IA, Russell Jami Legler of Des Moines, IA, Katie Jim Mishler of Grand Forks, ND, Dan Missy Legler of Fargo, ND, Mike Rita Legler of Dickenson, ND, Donna Tony Moorhouse of West Fargo, ND, Gloria Ron Anderson of Fargo, ND, Tim Jody Coste of Moorhead, MN, Pat Randy Kennedy of Fargo, ND, David Coste of Hawley, MN, Angie Richie Burnside of Hawley, MN, James Johnson of Hawley, MN; father, Lawrence Legler of Hawley, MN; brother, John Christine Legler of Story, WY; 31 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Legler, and nephew, J.J. Legler.
