Timothy J. Coste

Tim Coste, 59, Moorhead, MN passed away unexpectedly on Friday July 20, 2018, at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

Tim was born on December 14, 1958 to Shirley (Legler) and Robert Coste in Moorhead MN.  He attended Moorhead High School.  Tim was an avid wrestler taking 2^nd in the State in 1977.

Tim married his high school sweetheart Jody Dickhaus on October 7, 1977 at Christ the King Church, Moorhead.

He joined the Air Force in 1977 and served at Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, MT.  He was discharged in 1981 and returned to Moorhead. Tim was self-employed as a bulk hauler and later employed with Allied Building Supplies.

Tim and Jody found great happiness with family and friends at their lake home. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and handball.  Tim was known for his dance moves when Elvis was playing. Tim was always a great “supervisor” when the work needed to be done. He was very active and supportive of Justin and Amy’s sports. And mostly proud to be a “Papa” with his 2 grandchildren.

Tim is survived by his wife Jody of 40 years; children, Justin (Jeanette) Coste and Amy (Ryen) Ness; grandchildren, Macy and Duke all of Moorhead, MN; mother, Shirley Legler of Hawley, MN; sisters, Donna (Tony) Moorhouse and Patty (Randy) Kennedy of Dent, MN; brothers, David Coste and James Johnson; sister, Angie (Richie) Burnside all of Hawley; step-brothers, Steven Carlson and Mike (Penny) Carlson of Moorhead, MN; step-sisters, Rachel (Will) Scott and Angie Bohn of California; mother-in-law, Laura Dickhaus of Moorhead, MN; step-mothers, Joann (Ken) Mikula of Moorhead, MN, and Pam Coste of Fargo, ND; brother-in-law, Randy (Renee) Dickhaus of Hawley, MN; sisters-in-law, Reneece (Doug) Norgaard, Pam (Stuart) Thomas all of Moorhead, MN, Shelly (John) Blanchard of Fargo, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; sister, Gloria; step-father, Thomas Legler and father-in-law, Barney Dickhaus.

Memorial gathering will be Wednesday, July, 25, from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 6:00 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.
