Travis John Nicholas

Travis John Nicholas, 52, of Dilworth, MN, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020, in Sanford Health Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Travis was born on September 6, 1968, to John and Ardis (Swenson) Nicholas in Fargo, ND. He attended Dilworth High School and joined the Army Reserve in the 11^th grade. He graduated in 1987. He attended Minnesota State in Crookston, MN, where he played 2 years of college football. He worked various construction jobs until 1994 when he began his career at BNSF where he worked his entire life. He was united in marriage to LeeAnn Bouchard on July 27, 2002, in Minot, ND.

Travis was always ready for a joke meant to make everyone laugh. He loved spending time with people and celebrating life. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Vikings. He was fond of entertaining guests, cooking, and grilling, and loved watching people enjoy his food. His passion place was Loon Lake where he would enjoy the company of his family and friends. Travis was a loving father and husband who had a kind heart and was always present, especially when needed most. He will be sorely missed.

Travis is survived by his loving wife, LeeAnn; children, Aaron (Anna Simpson) Nicholas, Mercedes Russell, Tia Nicholas, and Deana Nicholas; grandchildren, Isabella, Arianna, Eleanor; father, John; and his siblings, Tammy Rosenfeldt, Troy Nicholas, Todd (Stacy) Nicholas, Shawn (Mari) Nicholas, and Chad (Tonya Chevis) Nicholas; and many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Ardis; stepfather, Glenn; and stepmother, Cheryl.

Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., followed by the memorial service at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
