Travis K. Burnside

Travis Keith Burnside, 35, of Moorhead, MN died Wednesday at his home. He graduated with the class of 1996 from Moorhead High school, served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft. Hood, TX from where he was deployed to Bosnia/Kosovo in 1998. He attended Minnesota State Community & Technical College in Moorhead where he earned an associates degree in detail and design, and was on the Dean’s list. He was employed at Trail King Industries in West Fargo as an engineer tech.

He is survived by his son, Austin Burnside of Moorhead, MN: his parents, Robert Larry and Cynthia Cindy Burnside of Ogema, MN: two brothers, Tony Burnside Jessica of Frazee, MN: and Casey Burnside Alicia of Gardner, ND; his nephews Hunter and Fisher Burnside of Willis, TX and Remington Burnside of Gardner, ND; as well as his fiancee Jenna Martin of Moorhead, MN.

He loved his family very much, especially his son Austin who he was so very proud of. His favorite hobbies were playing pool, golf and spending time with his son. He will be greatly missed by his family as well as his extended family, many friends and anyone who knew him for his big smile.

A memorial gathering will be from 5-7 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 17th at Wright Funeral Home in Hawley, MN. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 18th at Hawley United Methodist Church. Interment will be at the Hawley Cemetery.
