Travis Koenig

Travis Scott Koenig, 33, of West Fargo, ND, passed away November 9, 2020.

Travis was born August 26, 1987, in Grand Forks, ND, to Terry and Laurel (Olson) Koenig.  He graduated from Moorhead High School in 2006. After high school Travis began working in the restaurant industry and over the years he worked for many area restaurants as a chef.  He especially loved cooking from scratch, creating his own recipes and making all the holiday meals for his family.   Most recently he was working as the kitchen manager at Cash Wise Foods in Fargo.

Travis was especially proud of his two sons, Mason Jeffrey Koenig (13) and Spencer James Scott Koenig (11), and he treasured the times he was able to spend with them. He was a man that loved hard and cared deeply for those he loved.

Survivors include his sons, Mason and Spencer; his mother, Laurel Koenig; his sisters, Tara Stevens and Miranda Nortrom; his grandmother, Betty Olson; his nephews, Chance and Cayden Stevens and his niece, Shelby Stevens, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Brian John Koenig; his grandfather, Duane Olson, his uncle, Perry Olson and his aunt and godmother, Laurie Olson-Meyer.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., followed by a private family service at 1:00 P.M., at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.
