Tyler Jay Freed, 28, of Hawley, MN, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN, with his parents at his side.Tyler was born on April 13, 1982, to Randy and Debbie Freed in Fargo, North Dakota. He attended special ed classes at Hawley Elementary School and Barnesville High School. He was currently attending Heartland Industries Adult Life Day Program in Moorhead.Tyler loved listening to music, cuddling on the couch, going for pontoon rides and walks. He loved his dog, Brea, and especially loved his Grandma and Grandpa.Tyler was an absolute gift from God and changed our lives in a way that was unimaginable. Our life with him was different than the life we had anticipated, but was a profoundly wonderful and beautiful one just the same. We are thankful to the Lord that He chose us to have this precious son to care for and to love.So it is with saddened but grateful hearts and the fondest memories that we know he goes ahead of us to a better place. We miss him and his kisses terribly already and will forever be the richer for having had his bright spirit grace our lives.Tyler was preceded in death by his twin brother, Travis; and grandparents Leonard and Gladys Freed.Tyler is survived by his parents, Randy and Debbie; sisters, Tara and fiance Aaron Anderson of Mountain Top, PA; and Tracy and special friend Casey Fevig of Fargo, ND; grandparents, Kermit and Ardell Rodke of Hawley; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hegland Lutheran Church or CCRI.
