Vala J. Riley

Vala J. Riley, 61, Gillette, WY, and Ottertail, MN, died on Monday, June 19, 2006, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.Vala J. Nordholm was born on December 7, 1944, in Moline, IL, to Walter and Betty J. Fox Nordholm. She grew up and attended school there. Vala married Earl Riley on September 5, 1964, in Moline, IL, and they lived in Eldon, Iowa for many years. They moved to Gillette, WY, in 1982. She worked at Alco Discount in Gillette for 10 years and then went to work for Camco Credit Union in Gillette, retiring as a loan officer in January of 2003. Vala and Earl had lived in Ottertail, MN, during the summer since 1970.Vala is survived by her husband, Earl, Gillette, WY; one son, Darrin Claire, Ft. Worth, TX; one daughter, Marcy Danny Hoekstra, Gillette, WY; four grandchildren; five brothers, Eric, Gary and Larry Nordholm, all of Illinois, Tim Nordholm, Ottertail, MN, Dale Nordholm, Minneapolis, MN; two sisters, Betty Kopatich, Illinois, and Gayla Spencer, Missouri.
