Victor Monroe Lindstrom, 94, of Lake Park, MN, died Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Sunnyside Care Center in Lake Park, MN.
Victor was born November 13, 1922 on the Lindstrom homestead, the fourth child born to Victor and Amanda Selberg Lindstrom. He was baptized and confirmed at Eksjo Lutheran Church. Victor attended country school in District #42, Becker County, MN, and graduated from Lake Park High School in 1940. He farmed all his life, semi-retired in 1977 and then enjoyed travel and family activities. He was secretary of the Lake Park Elevator Board, and served on different committees at Eksjo Church including chairman of the Eksjo Cemetery Committee and church treasure. Vic wrote a book Eksjo Cemetery, a history of families buried in the Eksjo cemetery. After completing the cemetery book Vic went on to write, From Appelbo to Lake Park which outlined the genealogy of the families who settled the Lake Park area and went on to build Eksjo church.
Victor is survived by his sister, Margie; nieces and nephews, Vincent Lindstrom, John Lindstrom, Jane Langseth, Betty Lindstrom, Deb Magnuson, Denise Clark, Donna Havey; and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Orville and Rodney; and nephew, Gregg Magnuson.
A visitation will be held Saturday, June 3, from 10 – 11 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11 a.m., in Eksjo Lutheran Church, Lake Park, MN.
