Viola I. Gravalin

Viola I. Gravalin, 91, Moorhead, died Friday, September 18, 2009 in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN. Vi was born March 20, 1918 near Averill, MN. She was born to the parents of Eddie and Flora Duncan Griffin. Vi grew up on a farm near Averill and attended school in Glyndon, MN. She married Harvey Gravalin on September 28, 1935. He died in November 1974. Vi was a lifelong resident of Moorhead, where she was a very excellent and creative seamstress at her home. She has been a resident of Eventide Lutheran Home since January 2007.She is survived by three daughters, Darleen Erling Schacher, Dilworth, MN, Hazel Douglas Slocum, West Fargo, ND and Karen Langer, New Hope, MN; brother, Ken Violet Griffin, Lynnwood, WA; sister, Luella Wang, Minneapolis, MN; sisters-in-law, Alfriede Pratt, Sandpoint, ID and Margaret Stoll, Dilworth, MN; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.Vi was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, two sisters, a son-in-law.
