Violet M. Parker, 95, of Moorhead, MN, died Thursday, November 16, 2006, in Innovis Health Systems, Fargo, ND.Violet Minnie Anderson was born on December 27, 1910, to Alfred and Wilhelmina Ukena Anderson in Westbrook, MN. She grew up and attended school in Wadena County, graduating from Verndale High School. Her family moved to the Wadena area when she was a young girl. On December 21, 1929 she married Herbert L. Parker in Little Falls, MN, together they had four children. Herbert died on December 7, 1975. After their marriage they farmed near Motley until 1945 when they moved to Donaldson, MN where they ran the Bogestad Trading Co. until their retirement. In 1997 she moved to Moorhead. Violet was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Donaldson. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, the Secretary for the Sr. Citizen's Club in Kennedy, MN for 14 years, and the City Treasurer of Donaldson, MN for 25 years. She was honored as an Outstanding Senior Citizen at the Kittson County Fair on July 14, 1984. In November 1998 she moved to the Eventide Living Center in Moorhead, the past year and a half she was a resident of Eventide Nursing Home. Violet enjoyed handwork and reading after her retirement.She is survived by one son, Marvin Parker of Whitefish, MT; two daughters, Marles Hass of Moorhead, MN and Delores Al Johnson of Motley, MN; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert Parker; one son, Eugene; two brothers, Delbert and Glenn Anderson; and one sister, Evaline Anderson.
