Violet N. Amundson

Vilolet N. Amundson, age 94, of Moorhead, MN, died Friday, September 24, 2010, in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN.Violet N. Krabbenhoft was born on December 1, 1915, to William and Natalie Buth Krabbenhoft in Sabin, MN. She was baptized and confirmed in Trinity Lutheran Church in Sabin. On June 21, 1941, she married Edwin Amundson in Sabin. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Moorhead where she has resided since. Edwin died on September 18, 2006. Violet enjoyed volunteering at Eventide Lutheran Home and was an active member of the women's circle at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed quilting, knitting and sewing, cooking and baking and playing bingo as well as putting together puzzles. Violet was also an avid Twins fan and loved to fish.She is survived by two sons, Bill Kathi Amundson and Terry Janet Amundson, both of Moorhead, MN; two sisters, Nora Koenig of Osseo, MN and Melba Sorvik of Fargo, ND; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, Thomas Edwin Amundson; and five siblings, baby girl Krabbenhoft, Vernon, Florence, Robert and Eldon.
