Violet R. Seter

Violet was born on January 3, 1917, in Moland Township, the sixth child of Gill and Carrie Richards. She attended Oak Mound grade school and graduated from Glyndon High School.On October 27, 1935, she married Lloyd Seter. From that marriage there were four children. Lloyd, Jr. Jeanene of Glyndon, MN, Karen Ron Offutt of Fargo, ND, John Linda of Barnesville, MN, and Terry Shar of Park Rapids, MN. Dan Laurelle Cottrell joined the family at a young age. Lloyd and Violet raised their family on the family farm in Glyndon. In 1965 they moved to a farm in Lake Park, MN. In 1972 they retired to Hawley, MN. Lloyd died in January, 1989. Violet moved to Fargo after Lloyd's death.Violet was primarily a homemaker during her years in Glyndon, Lake Park, Hawley and Fargo and was a contributing member of the Lutheran Churches and was involved in many ways in the communities she lived in.She is survived by her children, ten grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a sister, Frances Haavig and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Carrie and Gill, sister, Claribel and brothers, Arnold "Beans", Harold "Boo", Alfred "Bud" and Robert "Dolly".Beloved Mother, Grandmother and friend – we will miss you.
