Vivian D. Long

Vivian Doreen Long, 83, passed away peacefully on Dec. 1, 2013 at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes.

She was born January 16, 1930 in rural Polk County to Arthur and Addie Trandem.

On June 6 1950, Vivian married Ervin Long in Webster, South Dakota.

Vivian was a devoted wife to her husband, Erv and a loving mother to her six sons.

She is survived by her husband, Erv and her sons; Steve Long Laurie, deceased of Detroit Lakes, Dean Linda of Menahga, Dan of Detroit Lakes, Scott, of Detroit Lakes, Brian of Brooklyn Center, and Jeff Janet of Maple Grove, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Everett Gail of Blaine, Virgil Susan of Santa Barbara, CA, and Vernus Pearl of Erskine.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 on Friday, Dec. 6 at Union Central in Detroit Lakes.
Interment will be at Trinity Faith Cemetery, Fergus Falls, MN.
