Wally F. Peck

Wally Peck, 85, of Hawley, Minnesota, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. Wally Peck was born April 28, 1919 at Keene Township, Clay County, Minnesota to Willie and Emma Weinert Heinichen. She grew up and attended Crocus Hill Country School in Keene Township. Wally married Ira Edward Peck, and following their marriage they lived in Hawley. They owned and operated Peck's Caf? until 1968, and she then cooked at the Hawley Golf Club until 1976. Edward died July 28, 1987. She continued to live in Hawley until moving to the Viking Manor Nursing Home in Ulen, Minnesota in 2002. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Rudolph and Fredrick, a sister Gertrude, and a grandson, Carl. She is survived by two sons, Wallace Cathy Peck, Bemidji, MN, and Craig Peck, Hawley, MN; one daughter, Joy Melby, Hawley, MN; two sisters, Lottie Nelson, Hawley, MN, and Margaret Connelly, San Diego, CA; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
