Walter F. Kolle

Walter F. Kolle, 87, of Felton, MN, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015, in Viking Manor, Ulen, MN.

Walter Kolle was born on December 17, 1927, in Viding Township, near Felton, MN, to Fritz and Mable Horn Kolle. He grew up in Viding Township, where he attended school. On April 6, 1956, Walter married Leota “Lee” Hite in Concordia Lutheran Church, Glyndon, MN. Walter worked for local farmers and drove gravel truck before working for Clay County Highway Department for 26 years.

Walter enjoyed the outdoors. He especially loved hunting, gardening, and being on the four-wheeler. Walter also enjoyed spending time with his family and extended family at family reunions.

He is survived by his four sons, Gary Ruth Dolven Kolle, St. Joseph, MN, Kerry Theresa Kolle, Felton, MN, Larry Kolle, Sabin, MN, and Keith Kolle, Willmar, MN; one daughter, Kim Bryce Holmgren, Willmar, MN; two brothers, David Kolle and Ernie Ardie Kolle; five sisters, Verle Bob McCollough, Wanda Frank Mills, Violet Abraham, Maysie Aronson-Aarestad, and Linda Lange; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and brother, Art Kolle.

Visitation: Friday, May 8, 2015, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Funeral: Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Felton, MN.

Interment: Concordia Lutheran Church Cemetery, Glyndon, MN.
