Walter O. Anderson

Walter O. Anderson, 79, of Moorhead, MN, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006, in Valley Baptist Medical Center, Harlington, TX. Walter Orin Anderson was born on January 28, 1927 in Erskine, MN to Daniel and Olga Clausen Anderson. He grew up and attended school in Erskine, graduation from Erskine High School in 1944. Walter joined the US Navy on January 25, 1945. He was honorably discharged on August 13, 1946. On July 11, 1952 he married Donna Simon in Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, together they had three children. Walter graduated from the Wahpeton School of Science with a two year degree in Auto Mechanics and worked towards an advance degree at Minnesota State University, Moorhead. After graduating from Wahpeton, he was employed at Wallworks and Francis Peterson's until he took a teaching position at Minnesota State Technical College in Moorhead, retiring in 1989.He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donna; one son, Wayne Lisa Anderson, Centennial, CO; two daughters, Gale Anderson, Aurora, MN and Julie Marvin Nelson, Audubon, MN; one sister, Luella Robert Vanderwaal, Erskine, MN; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, one sister, and one son-in-law, Bradley A. Anderson.
