Warren E. Brendemuhl

Warren E. Brendemuhl, 91, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Sanford Hospice House, Fargo, ND.

Warren Eugene Brendemuhl was born in Moorhead on March 17, 1931, to Walter and Alice (Johnson) Brendemuhl. He grew up on the family farm and attended Oak Mound Country School until his father’s sudden passing. Warren and his brothers then assumed operation of the farm.

On June 18, 1952, Warren married Marie Sauvageau at St. Francis Catholic Church in Moorhead and they raised their family on the farm.

Warren was a long time member of the Western Minnesota Steam Thresher’s Reunion in Rollag, MN, and a proud board member of Norwest Bank of Moorhead. He had a strong passion for farming and gardening which he proudly passed on to his children. He enjoyed watching them all succeed in different areas of life.

Warren is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years; daughters, Marlene (Mike) Henry, Suzan (Steve) Satran, and Barbara (David) Balfour; sons, Wayne (Diane) Brendemuhl, Curtis (Shelly) Brendemuhl, and David (Sarah) Brendemuhl; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers, Morton and Alden (Diane); and sister, Eleanor (Jim) Fischer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Steven.

Memorial are preferred to Sanford Hospice House or Oak Mound Cemetery Association.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, from 2-4 PM at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Visitation will continue Monday, March 28, 2022, from 10-11 AM followed by the memorial service at 11:00 at the funeral home. A livestream of the service will be available here on Warren’s page.

Burial will be in Oak Mound Cemetery near Kragnes, MN.
