Wayne Douglas Rehorst

Wayne Douglas Rehorst of Moorhead MN, age 66, died Friday, December 11^th, 2020, at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.

Wayne was born on March 10, 1954, in Braham, MN, to James and Clara (Persson) Rehorst.  He graduated from High School in Pierre, SD, in 1972. After High School, he attended Moorhead Area Technical School and graduated with an Automotive Degree.  Wayne was united in marriage to Debra Marquart on June 18, 1976, and they had one son, Steven.

Wayne worked at Sears Automotive Service Center in West Acres, Muscatell Chevrolet, Tim Corwin, North Dakota DOT, and finally Strata, where he retired due to health.

Wayne enjoyed many things, including concerts, ice fishing for crappies, river fishing for catfish, spending time with his son and grandkids, spending time with his cats, and talking with people as much as he could. As a young boy, he enjoyed going to Rosholt, SD, with his mother to spend summers there with his Aunt Frieda Persson.  He enjoyed drag racing in the 1970s, especially with his 1969 Z28 Camaro. Wayne never missed sending a card or calling to see how someone was doing, especially his grandchildren, Briella and Isaac.

Wayne is survived by his son Steve; grandchildren, Briella and Isaac of Watertown, SD; cats, Paris and Star; and his good friend, Jim Donat of Fargo ND.  Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, James and Clara Rehorst, and his Aunt, Frieda Persson.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
