Wayne Donovan Eastman, 52, of Fargo, ND, went home to the Lord on Thursday, March 2, 2023. Wayne was born April 28, 1970, in Flandreau, SD, to Wayne and Jewel (Zephier) Eastman. He grew up in South Dakota on the reservation and later moved with the family to Bismarck, ND, where he graduated from high school. On August 29, 1988, Wayne married his high school sweetheart, Mona Boe. They started life together in Bismarck, and moved around a bit before settling in Fargo in 1994. Wayne continued his education alongside his children, Myka and Wayne, at North Dakota State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Family Sciences. That is where his love for the Bison began. You would probably see a glimpse of him on screen at their home games, but he loved to travel so it only made sense that you would also find him in Frisco at the NCAA championship. He grew up a die hard Denver Broncos fan, but also had a great love for basketball, all who played with him loved his “no look pass”. Other activities he enjoyed were movies, hunting and fishing, roller coasters, frolfing, coin collecting, eating out, trying out the latest trends and challenges, muscle cars and music. He was in a band called “Euphoria” as a self taught drummer in the 80s. You couldn’t mention Wayne’s name without including his family. Each member was so dear to him and he would go out of his way to help them with whatever they needed. If you knew Wayne you would also know he was a dreamer. He had so many things he wanted to accomplish it was hard to focus on just one idea. More important than anything he wanted or valued here on Earth was his love for the Lord. He served in many ministries including the drums, Bible study, preaching, confirmation and outreach. If he could get the gospel out there he was definitely going to try. Jesus loves you and Wayne does too.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Mona; children, Myka (Adrian) Gonzales, Wayne Eastman, Dammon (Bailey) Boyer; grandchildren, Analena, Andreas and Ananias Gonzales, Elias, Ava, Eriella, Hezekiah, Maisie and Souline Boyer; sisters, Charleen Eastman, Laryssa Thompson, Sherry (Louie) Johnson, Tami (Daryl) Decoteau and Nadine Eastman; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Evon Eastman and Darlene Fox.
