William “Bill” Johnson

William Bill Johnson, 67 years old, Moorhead, MN, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at MeritCare Palliative Care Unit. Bill was born March 9, 1938 in Ironwood, MI to Hjalmer and Ethel Johnson. He moved to Moorhead in 1971 to work with his brother, Bud, at Palace Clothiers. Bill married Charlene Enrico on February 15, 1958 in Ironwood, MI.Bill is preceded in death by his wife Charlene and his brother Lloyd. He is survived by brothers, Richard Bud Johnson, Moorhead, MN, Robert Johnson, Columbus, OH; daughters, Sharee Johnson, Duluth, MN, Adele Dan Simenstad, Minneapolis, MN; son Thomas Stacie, Plymouth, MN; grandchildren, Laura Simenstad, Linda Simenstad, Greta Johnson; great grandchild, Courtney Joy and special friend, Mary Borgen, Moorhead, MN. Bill was known for his dedication to his many hobbies including wood carving, model railroading, and painting. He rests peacefully after a long struggle with illness following retirement from Rural Minnesota CEP in 1993.
