William S. ’Bill’ Koan

William S. "Bill" Koan, age 49, of Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, June 18, 2011, in Golden Living Center, Moorhead, MN.William Scott Koan was born on October 15, 1961 to Woodward Koan and Myrtle Culhane Cherry in Flint, Michigan. He grew up and attended school in Michigan until the age of 12 when the family moved to Texas. Later Bill moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area where he has resided for the last 20 years. Bill worked as a truck driver much of his career. He enjoyed playing guitar, riding bike and visiting with his friends.He is survived by his mother, Myrtle Cherry of Moorhead, MN; brother, Bruce Koan of Grand Prairie, TX and sisters, Catherine Ward Satterlee of Britton, SD and Laurie Cherry of Moorhead, MN.He was preceded in death by his father, Woodward Koan.
