Norma Louise Megrund

Norma Louise (Thoen) Megrund, 85, Moorhead, MN died Friday, April 16, 2021 at Eventide on Eighth in Moorhead.

Norma Louise Thoen was born October 19, 1935 in Fargo.  She grew up and went to school in Galchutt, ND and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1953.  After high school, Norma attended Concordia College and graduated in 1957.

Norma then worked many years for the Ford Motor Company.  She later worked as a Medical Secretary for several orthopedic doctors in Moorhead and Fargo.

Norma was united in marriage to Wesley Arthur Megrund on March 23, 1958 in Moorhead, where the couple made their home.

She enjoyed reading, golfing, knitting, playing bridge and spending time with family and friends.

Norma is survived by her son Todd (Susan) of Minneapolis, MN and her daughter Ann of Brooklyn Park, MN.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Glennis and Luella (Sorbel) Thoen, her husband, Wesley, her sister Marlys Johnson of New Hope, MN and her brother, Dennis Thoen of Moorhead.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Eventide and Hospice of the Red River Valley for their exceptional care of Norma.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, Concordia College and Eventide.

The funeral for Norma will be held at 1pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at Trinity.

Interment will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery, Moorhead.
