Steve L. Rundquist

Steven L. Rundquist, 65, of Moorhead, MN, died unexpectedly on Monday, December 8, 2014, at home. Steve was born October 24, 1949, to Lloyd and Aldeline Gaarder Rundquist. He grew up and attended school in Fargo, graduating from Fargo Central High. Steve continued his education at Moorhead State University where he majored in Art. In August of 1970, Steve married Linda Hagen. Together they lived in Bemidji, MN, for a time before making their home in Moorhead. One of Steve’s passions was music and over the years used his talents to play in several bands, most notably the Johnny Holm Band for 23 years. He enjoyed woodworking and remained creative with his art. Steve also enjoyed spending time at the lake and on his pontoon, most of all loved the time with family, especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

Steve is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda; son, Jon Jeanine Rundquist of Aurora, CO; daughter, Laura Wyatt Sokness of Moorhead; grandchildren, Hannah and Noah Rundquist, Barrett and Bevin Sokness; and brother, Gary Rundquist.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m., on Wednesday, December 10, in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

The memorial service will be on Thursday, December 11, at 11:00 a.m., in The Lutheran Church of Christ the King, Moorhead, MN.
